Hotter Than Denise Milani?

St. Martin

That's it, tomorrow we leave for the bouncer back to the Azores. Here is an overview of our adventures on this little piece of France that is St Martin.

To begin, the island is separated into two, part French and part Dutch. In the French capital Marigot and (where we are right now) we find the charm of a French resort. The atmosphere is relaxed, the streets full of designer boutiques (we do not pay taxes here), we came across the national police and 206. We pay in euros, there are bakeries and even a newsagent. The Dutch side, who Batavian that has no name, you pay in U.S. dollars, we speak English and there are casinos, nightclubs and huge luxury hotels that includes the island.

is a great base for boating Caribbean, the largest lagoon in the closed interior of the island can accommodate thousands of boats, there are major hardware stores such as supermarkets, sailmakers, workings ... in short the ideal to work before a bouncer, that's good!

We spend so few days enjoying the pleasures of France, especially culinary found here pate, cheese and real bread! We take the information we need to work and recovered Olivier J. which we had left a few weeks earlier. We enjoy being in the corner to go for a ride to the nearby island of St Barthelemy (French too) and being green in beautiful anchorages, certainly our last of the Caribbean zone, sniff sniff. The island is very beautiful, a little smaller than its neighbor and given the luxury holiday homes is not surprising that this is a haunt of celebrities. We will spend a few days before heading back to St Martin. This allows us to watch live Semifinals league champions, to go see a magnificent parade of carnival Dutch side, and finally start our work.

Once the boat out of the water, we can begin. Programme: fairing, changing some valves, clean diesel tank, full of food and water, sails and review crafts of all kinds. A week later the boat is ready to return to the water. And there is the drama: a new valve installed is not waterproof! A crane later here again the racket dry for the weekend, missing the time for us back in the water before Friday evening. The crew does not, however, leaves removed and dignified celebration of 8 months of cohabitation.

In the meantime we also welcomed Fabrice, our new foam that will accompany us to the Azores. We now have before us between 2000 and 2400 miles of ocean that we should take three weeks to a month. The sailors are happy to sail again and to leave the Caribbean to join other horizons and will greet you upon our arrival in the Azores for a new episode.

Wishing you a good month of May

Bises Manu
