Virgin Islands
Virgin Islands, from April 9 to 17
Virgin Islands, known as the BVI, British Virgin Island, to the English part, are a group of ten islands in the north of West Indies, east of Puerto Rico. It is a true paradise: the islands hilly and sometimes fringed beaches surrounded by coral reefs, lush vegetation ... Unfortunately, the BVI are victims of their success and we came across dozens / hundreds of sailboats rental and anchorages are crowded, but curiously the coastline and the sea are quite well preserved. Point "positive" in this glut of boat is the profusion of yachts / yacht billionaire has seen several 3 masts over 90 feet, huge catamarans (including that of Richard Branson), and Yacht worthy of Paris Hilton ... well it's nice. By cons like Julien said at the end of his last article, all this abundance of beautiful boats do not always allow us to go to the kings of the anchorage and it further strengthens our image that we had forgotten tramps from Los Roques
...
an aside on 2 islands that we particularly appreciated:
En tout nous avons visité 4 iles et en general we do a first location and then we come back the next day for the day. We do not linger too because life is really expensive, $ 50 lobster, and we especially look forward to landing at St. Martin, French Island, where we hope to find a bit more infrastructure and above all products French: cream, cheese, charcuterie, Jenlain
... So we start on April 17 of Anegada to Saint Martin, and history that will change a little of almost 24 hours. That means we have slashed in Marigot (capital of the island), which does not prevent us to forge ahead on the internet and the first supermarket and found that feast: 2 cheeses, 2 blocks and 3 sticks, you forget the red but we will catch up the next time.
Here we are almost one month to the program: the necessary repairs before the recliner back, a visit to St. Martin, the carnival, discovered the islands in the vicinity ...
