Presentation of Culture Action Europe www.cultureactioneurope.org
Culture Action Europe (established 1992) is an association acting in the role of arts and culture in the development of the European project. Their goal is to influence EU policies in order to improve access to culture within and beyond Europe's borders.
Mission
Provide cultural operators in Europe a common space to reflect on the European project, identify their interests and organize their political representation. The long term goal is to strengthen the role of arts and culture in the development of the European project. The actions are based on the defense of cultural rights such as access to culture and participation in cultural life.
Organization
To Culture Action Europe day, led by a secretariat based in Brussels, has over 100 member organizations in turn represent over 50 000 cultural operators in over 14 disciplines or arts and cultural industries (excluding property) and a wide range of cultural actors such as associations of orchestras, artists and multimedia artists, writers, theaters, conservatories, research institutes, the Cultural Contact Points, international cultural networks, the Independent cultural operators, or organizations working in the sociocultural sphere.
Method of work and actions
With privileged access to European policy makers and Culture Action Europe is widely recognized as the sole source of information and expertise on the EU and its cultural policy, the organization is bringing together the largest number of associations and organizations active in the arts and culture in Europe.
The campaign "We Are More"
Why this campaign
From 2011 to 2013, the European Union on its future work program from 2014 to 2020, ie on budget negotiations and policies that will impact Europe in all fields of activities for the next 10 years.
Campaign Goals
* Focus on the contribution of arts and culture to build a vision for the future of Europe
* Do recognize this contribution in the programs and policies of the European Union for a cultural program strengthened and increased support to culture in the European regional development policies.

1) Lift the central questions about the future of culture in European societies
2) Advocating the development of a multiplicity of artistic practices and support for cultural production free, accessible and independent, open to participation All
3) To recognize the responsibilities of artistic and cultural sectors to imagine a Europe that is more just, democratic and in which the arts and culture are part of a shared political thinking
4) Rephrase the debate surrounding the value and contribution of arts and culture in all aspects of everyday life across Europe
5) To tackle a challenge of unprecedented transformation of funding mechanisms, disengagement states, to invent new forms of solidarity, to put pressure on politicians to make culture more prominently in the debates and issues, the budget lines ...
Why The Federation is involved in this campaign?
1) For an outline of cultural policy and budget will also decide the level of the European Union and not only in our communities and the Ministry of Culture
2) Because the European policies have more impact on the daily work of artists and cultural operators across Europe
3) Because so far, all major sectors of civil society have structured their representation in order to increase their influence in the decisions of the European institutions ...
4) because the budget of the EU culture est de 0,03% de son budget global !!!!!!!
