No need to go halfway around the world to hear groups of neo-folk music. Here, there are some who know together modern and traditional music, urban legends. Better yet, some faced the same commercial success. Surprising? Yes and no, say it is legitimate to say that this shows that the genre is becoming more respected and loved by people.
We have the right to be proud our roots.
My ancestors part of this movement. This group of funklore blend perfectly good old traditional folk music with funk, disco, bossa nova, French chanson, and even rap.
I think this group is one that Quebec was able to offer the best in the arts in recent years.
My ancestors combines originality and poetry, while providing ecological and social themes with music often festive.

La jeunesse, paumée, sans point de repères, a droit de paroles. Mais, s'il y a bien une chose qui distingue Mes aïeux de la masse musicale, c'est bien son côté intergénérationel. Oui oui! Je parle d'expérience puisque j'ai moi-même vu le groupe plusieurs fois en spectacles : le public est véritablement constitué de gens de 7 à 77 ans! Sans rire, une fois, dans une salle, j'ai vu des couples at least 80 years typed into their hands in rhythm to people 20 years! I want to say that members of my ancestors are spokesmen for the coalition Eau Secours! , an organization that advocates for responsible management of drinking water.
